Upstate Links and South Carolina City Guide
Our Personal Upstate Links and City Guide Page
While doing my research for the article on Upstate South Carolina History I was unable to find a comprehensive list of things to do and see in the Upcountry. We have a lot of friends who have moved into the Upstate from other parts of the country. Although many have lived here for years there are a lot of attractions that they have bypassed from a lack of knowledge.
My goal is to provide a city guide of information to enrich your experience while you are here with us in the Upstate, either as a visitor or resident. If you have any recommendations to be added, please send us an email.
The upstate restaurants listed are our own personal recommendations and are not paid references. Most are not even aware of their listing. However, if they should happen across this restaurant guide and wish to show their appreciation with a dinner for two coupon our address is
512 Hood road, Greenville, SC 29611.

Upstate Restaurants
Charleston and the Lowcountry of South Carolina are renowned for their seafood restaurants. Our favorite in Charleston is the Boathouse on Isle of Palms.
Columbia and the Midlands are known for Barbeque.
However the Upstate is rapidly coming into its own for fine restaurants
and just good country food. Carolyn and I have listed some of our favorites for
you to visit. We promise you won't be disappointed.
Highly recommended for that special night on the town
Prices are reasonable but you will probably need that credit card.
There are more expensive restaurants but why bother?
